This two day course led by
Helen Johannessen, will take you through the basic steps and idea processes involved in creating a contemporary sculpted form using a waste mould.
Yoyo Ceramics
Students will produce initial designs through sketching and experimenting in clay, and go on to cast their form in solid plaster. Only by breaking the plaster mould is the blank removable, and then your final piece can be made.
You will learn how to:
- Translate ideas into 3 dimensions
- Sculpt in clay
- Make a waste mould in plaster
- Cast and finish a plaster form
No experience is required, just the urge to get creative!
