Making a moulded object in Ceramics

Cult contemporary ceramicist Helen Johannessen of Yoyo Ceramics will introduce you to the process of plaster moulding, allowing you to make ceramic products of your choice. Choose a found object or sculpt your own model from clay, and learn to cast using either a drop out or two piece plaster mould.

Mould-making enables the production of repeated objects and students will complete at least two pieces from start to finish, taking home glazed ceramic masterpieces, functional or sculptural - it's up to you.
You will learn:

• How to prepare a model to make a mould from
• Mixing plaster for model and mould making
• Designing and applying surface decoration
• Using clay around a former

No experience is required, just the urge to get creative!
