In this eight week evening course, Sally will show you how to combine coloured metals and silver using ingenious tube-riveting and wire techniques, to make rings without messy soldering, and to cut and shape aluminium to form innovative items of jewellery including pendants, earrings and bangles.
Sally specialises in exciting contemporary metal jewellery including collections for men, and showcases her work in the UK, Europe and New York.
This is course is ideal for beginners, introducing a wide range of jewellery-making techniques which do not require a large outlay on tools and equipment. You will learn to:
- Design a piece of jewellery
- Manipulate sheet metal and silver
- Practice riveting techniques
- Experiment with wire
- Look at the possibilities for adding colour to create eye-catching modern designs
