This sell-out course by fashion designer
Lena Santana is ideal for those people who have attended one of our introductory sewing courses or already have a little previous sewing know-how.
Lena will demonstrate the concept of draping on the stand, enabling you to create your own patterns and garments.
You will:
- Perfect your existing sewing skills
- Create shape with darts and seams, add waistbands, button holes and pockets to garments
- Learn the basic concept of draping using a dummy
- Transfer draping on a stand to paper, to create your own patterns
- Make a lined dress, a top and/or tailored pocket dress
*Students are asked to bring fabric of their own choice to make some of their garments. We will provide general sewing equipment, pattern paper, calico, a starter sewing pack for you to keep and basic fabric to make your first garment.
