This exciting new ten week course will be led by Brazilian British fashion designer, Lena Santana. Lena is currently working on her sixth collection, and often uses elements of deconstruction in her pieces -reworking and adapting found garments in a playful and unique way.
During this course, you will:
- Understand how the body is divided and measured
- Customise your own clothes
- Look at pattern making terminology
- Make a basic pattern for a skirt or other simple garment
- Practice general sewing techniques, including hand stitching and finishing
Bring a camera if you can, to record you discoveries and begin to make clothes at home.
