Make a decorative corset or boned bodice with
Jennifer Rothrock, learning how to fit it to the body correctly, and trim it to your own fancy!
Jennifer is a budding curator and fashion historian from Seattle, who makes couture wedding dresses on the side.
Looking at a variety of corset styles and shapes from the historical to the ultra-modern for inspiration, and working from the pattern block provided, you will cut out and assemble a basic toile, and be shown how to adjust it to fit correctly, and modify the pattern to suit.
Jennifer will then lead you through the process of cutting, assembling and trimming your corset, demonstrating the specialist techniques involved, including how to:
- Sew corset seams correctly
- Assemble and insert corset backing
- Insert boning and busking
- Affix eyelets and apply lacing
