Construct your own handbag design from scratch in this fast-paced weekend workshop! Conceive an original design, create your own pattern, and make up the finished article, picking up some professional tips along the way. You will:

• Make a 3D pattern from a 2D sketch
• Work with linings and facings
• Attach pockets, handles and zips
• Apply metal fittings for professional results

Bring along some ideas, inspirations and examples of bags you love, to help you get started

On the weekend, beginners will find it easiest to work in fabric. Lightweight leather is possible for those with some experience, and on the evening course anything is possible! This is an in-depth version, with time to develop a more complex design.
