These intensive courses led by Katherine Pogson or Monisola Omotoso focus on design as well as construction techniques. You can choose to create your own design from scratch, or work from an existing pattern and learn how to prototype, sew and finish a fabric bag, before moving on to one of our leather courses! Choose from a 20 hour intensive course over eight evenings, or a full-on 14 hour weekend workshop.
This course is suitable for beginners.

You will learn to:

• Create, or adapt a paper pattern
• Cut a toile
• Insert zips
• Attach linings and facings
• Add pockets and handles
• Apply metal fittings such as clasps, eyelets and magnets

You may also look at decorative possibilities, and how to adapt existing patterns to create new designs.
