No prior jewellery experience is required for this gorgeous one-day workshop with Maya Selway- a perfect introduction to precious metal jewellery!

Maya demonstrates the wonderful softness of fine silver (and gold) and shows you how to make a twisted wire ring. Maya only uses ethically sourced and 100% recycled metals, and her work is infused with a sense of freedom and playfulness with materials and processes. You will:

• Become familiar with the essential properties of fine silver (or gold)
• Discover how to twist wire both by hand and machine
• Experiment with a range of sections and thicknesses for different effects
• Design and make your own ring
• Gain a practical understanding of sizing and soldering

*£15 worth of silver for each participant is included in the price of this course. If you would like to work with gold, there is a material supplement of £25.
