We are delighted to be running this extremely exciting new course! Discover the secrets of precious and semi-precious stones, and learn how to design and make your own pieces of jewellery.

Charlotte Rudkin has decades of experience working with precious stones and metals, and many secret techniques and design tips to share. She has designed collections for major companies including De Beer's, and is a regular fixture at Greenwich Market, where clients seek her out to commission individual, bespoke pieces.

This course is suitable for beginners and will include instruction in basic jewellery techniques including flame control, piercing, hammer work, drilling, stone setting and finishing. You will have the opportunity to:

• Learn how to correctly identify different stones
• Become familiar with metalworking and jewellery tools and techniques
• Design and make your own ring, or reset an existing piece of stone jewellery
• Master the art of the rub-over setting
