Kim Robertson is a highly successful designer-maker creating delicate hand-printed silks, cards and accessories for stockists including
Selfridges, Designers Guild, Liberty and the V&A.
This three day course is one of our most popular offerings; suitable for beginners, and those preparing portfolios for further art training, as well as designers from other disciplines wishing to expand their skills-base.
Kim will lead you through the design process and introduce a wide range of screenprinting techniques for application to products including cushions, fashion fabrics and clothes, as well as T-shirts and many other items.
You will learn to:
- Design an original textile print
- Cut a stencil
- Use a photograph to make an exposed screen
- Experiment with colour and texture
- Explore screenprinting techniques such as foiling, flocking and devoree
- Print onto different luxury fabrics including silks and velvets
