Mizuho Koizumi creates stunning contemporary silver work, specialising in vases, scented objects and tableware. Mizuho exhibits regularly at Goldsmith's Fair, Sotheby's and Origin as well as galleries throughout Europe, and her highly collectable pieces have recently featured in Wallpaper and Homes and Gardens magazines.
In this two day workshop, Mizuho will focus on design, and take you through the process of conceiving and making your own silver spoon, utilising precious metal techniques including forging and forming. This course is suitable for beginners, but includes plenty of one-to-one time for those with some experience, wishing to develop their skills further.
You will learn to:
- Develop your own design
- Practice silver techniques such as piercing, cutting, filing, drilling, soldering and polishing
- Execute a finished project
